This study published in February 2017, tells us what we smart tennis players already know. Tennis is a lifetime sport which provides wonderful health benefits. At the same time, it prolongs the childhood joy of realizing our inner athlete, the surprise of discovering we have superior hand/eye coordination and ability to hit a ball with precision on the run. And at IHTC, we’re able to do this while playing in temperatures that would keep most folks huddled at home next to their AC. (Be sure to hydrate.)
Playing tennis can add years to your life. This is the best recruiting tool we all can use to get more people playing tennis, and joining Idle Hour. Tell everyone you know about the health benefits of tennis.
Oh, BTW, you know the USTA holds national tennis tournaments for players 90 years old and above. They get it! Last summer I witnessed a 94 year old play doubles at IHTC. He had great hand/eye coordination. So did his partner, just a kid at 79!
