Club members may attend any Board meeting. To maintain good order and assure efficient use of Board time, club members wishing to address a monthly Board meeting are asked to respect the following guidelines:
1. If a Club member wishes to address the Board at a monthly meeting with a grievance(s), a suggestion(s), a proposal(s), or similar topic, the Board requires advance notice, including a brief summary of the same, to be submitted five (5) days prior to the monthly Board meeting, by email or hand delivered to any of the five officers (President, Vice-President, Immediate Past President, Treasurer or Secretary). The Board meets the third Wednesday of each month from March through November. The five (5) day notice would be required by 6:00 p.m. on the Friday before the Wednesday Board meeting.
2. The first fifteen minutes of the next Board meeting following receipt of the aforementioned notice will be reserved for discussion of the topic referenced therein. The Board can extend the time at the meeting upon a motion and vote by the majority of the Board.
This advance notice requirement enables good order by allowing the Board enough time to review and research the topic, before committing it to the next meeting agenda, or, if circumstances merit, offering the member(s) an alternate meeting date or means of resolution.
